Thanks for the powerful evidence of graphic narratives rising. Japan is arguably the foremost country in manga, which covers from hilarious to serious to informational contents and is loved by almost all generations except perhaps the most elderly. You see middle-aged business persons enjoying manga on commuter trains in Tokyo. Still, manga is as yet excluded from school classrooms. May pressures from outside Japan, meaning articles like the present one, change the sad situation.
