「一口大＝一口サイズ＝bitesize」は「ことばの氷山」とともに
NPOの講座で見つかった二大発見だと言ってきましたが、
なかなか分かりにくいようです。
それはつまりわたしが bitesize をちゃんと分かっていないからではないかと
思えてなりませんが、ま、それで発言を控えていては先へ進まないので、
どんどん書いて、話して、みなさんの反応を見て、聞いて、少しずつ正体が
明らかになり、説明がうまくなることを祈りましょう。
きょうはbitesizeをもう一息分かってもらえることを願って、
NPOの講座で毎回やっている Bite-Size Book Talk の原稿を紹介します・・・
ここ1年くらい、Oliver Jeffers さんの絵本がNPOの講座で評判です。
（ほかにも、Mo Willems さん、Jon Klassen さん、Shaun Tan さんなども評判！）
Oliver Jeffers さんの Lost and Found という絵本に木曜多読講座のBさんが
bitesizeでメモを書いてきて、それを読み上げてbook talk をしてくれました。
こんな具合です。
絵がないと分かりにくいと思います。長すぎると思ったら読まなくて結構です。
講座ではこんな風に1行1文で書きます。すると、長さが一目で分かるからです。
全体をざっと見て、とても短い「bitesize」の文になっていることだけ確認してください。
なお、「 * 」 はページをめくる印です。
Lost and Found
*Once there was a boy.
*One day he found a penguin.
*The boy didn’t know it.
But it always followed him.
*The penguin looked sad.
*He took it to the lost and found office.
But he didn’t know its owner.
*He asked birds.
But they ignored him.
*The boy asked his duck.
But he didn’t know.
*He was disappointed.
*He really wanted to find its home.
*The next morning, he read a book.
The book said penguins live in the South Pole.
*He asked a big ship to take them to the South Pole.
But the big ship didn’t hear him.
*The boy took his rowboat out of the cupboard.
They packed this and that.
*They pushed the rowboat out to sea.
*They rowed south.
At night, he told stories to the penguin.
*They floated.
*Sometimes big waves attacked them.
*At last, they reached the South Pole.
He was delighted.
But the penguin looked sad.
*The boy said goodbye.
*The boy left for home.
But the penguin looked sadder.
*And he thought and thought.
*He found his big mistake.
The penguin was just lonely.
*He turned back to the South Pole.
*He searched and searched.
But he couldn’t find the penguin.
*Sadly he set off for home.
*He felt lonely.
But he saw something coming to him.
*It was the penguin.
*And the boy and his friend went home together.
講座の読み聞かせはどんどん高度になっているという気がします。
