初めてこの話しを読みました。シュモーさんは戦争の間に広島に行って、家を建てるのはとても親切な事だと思います。

This story was so compelling and comprehensible that, for a short moment, I completely forgot I was reading it in Japanese. This is what Stephen Krashen has been talking about for years. What a fantastic story and what a legend Schmoe was.

This book sends out a very positive message in such a simple language! The illustrations are good and the accompanying audio is easily understandable. This can be a good study material for language learners.

What a beautiful story! It's easy to understand, paired with the images. I have always heard of the A-bomb, but I never knew about this man until I read this! I learned so much from this story.
