My first ever beginner Japanese book and id say after learning some Japanese I was only able to make out some of the words, I could read the hiragana just fine but I enjoyed it.

ほんはがわいいで。I didn't like when he lost his steak but overall it was a cute read and a little sad.

And here I was hopping that the dog would be in a happy home in the end

this dog made me cry :<

話の紹介のところで、おなかが空いたの読み仮名が「あいた」になっています。「すいた」に直したほうがいいと思います. 話も絵もとてもいいです。大好きになりました。
