Love this story! I've never heard it before. Very easy to read. And I like the visuals.

It was nice reading a book of a story I heard a lot as a kid to scare me. めちゃくちゃ好きです！

I was surprised to see this here, but it was a nostalgic read. I remember being told this story as a child along with my siblings so that we would behave. As an adult, I don't find it scary, just really sad and tragic.

この話は初めてよんだ。とても面白かった。話の最後を読んでびっくした。怒っていた女の行動は怖かった。子供たちがかわいそう。

Within the reading of 泣く女, as soon as I saw the river, what instantly came to mind is the folklore of which comes from Mexico, also known as "La Llorona". Of the women who drowned her own children at a river and roams around to find other children out at night to keep as her own because of her sorrow for losing the children she had. Surprisingly, not to kill or drown those children she kidnaps this time around. This story places a form of motivation for the child to not do anything that separates themselves from their mother, as well as the mother in making sure they're protecting the children from child takers.

This story is also told in Mexico to scare children into behaving. There are many different versions, but this version is the one I'm most familiar with! This story was really easy to understand. It was a surprise to find it in Japanese and be able to know the words, terms & conjugation. This book is good practice for anyone who is into horror and learning Japanese!

This story is also told in my country as well. Didn't expect to find it in Japanese, so it was a pleasant surprise. So easy to read, I really liked it.
